Couve Zine Swap

Building zine culture in Clark County, WA!

FAQ

What is a zine, and how do I pronounce it?

What is the Couve Zine Swap?

The Couve Zine Swap is a collection of creative folks who love the art and culture of zines. At the Couve Zine Swap, we connect local zine creators with each other, and connect their zines to the community. Our goal is to grow a thriving zine culture in the Clark County area, at no cost to community members.

What does the Couve Zine Swap do?

Our mission is to build zine culture in Clark County. We do this by operating our distribution boxes, helping zinesters print and publish their zines, hosting zine-making get-togethers, and holding zine workshops at schools and libraries.

How can I get involved with the Couve Zine Swap?

The easiest way to get involved is to read some zines! Feel free to take zines from any of the free little zine libraries (also called distribution boxes or distros) at various small businesses around the county.

If you are a zine creator and want to see your zine in our boxes, check out our Submit Your Zine page!

If you are an educator or librarian and want the Couve Zine Swap to hold a zine workshop at your school or library, email us at couvezineswap@gmail.com.

Where are the distribution boxes?

Our distribution boxes are all over the county! You can see the locations on our Distro page. Feel free to take or leave a zine! Our zines will always be free.

What kinds of zines can go in the distribution boxes?

Just about anything! We mostly distribute mini zines, because they are small and easy to print (great for beginners!), but we will find a way to accommodate any size or shape of zine.

As far as content goes, we don’t have any guidelines; we just try to be mindful of the businesses hosting our boxes. Some of our locations try to keep things family-friendly, and we respect that. If you have any questions, send us an email.
